Love in Friendship

There is a quote floating around in the world that says something like,
I may not be rich with money, but I am rich with love.
I just really love that. It's so true. Money comes and goes and the amount of things you hold increase and decrease but if you have love, not even necessarily romantic, mushy-gushy love, but just love, you are very blessed and very rich indeed.

Since yesterday, there have been two verses that really point out the joy and blessings of friendships.
"My dear, dear friends! I love you so much. I do want the very best for you. You make me feel such joy, fill me with such pride. Don’t waver. Stay on track, steady in God." Philippians 4:1
"Every time your name comes up in my prayers, I say, “Oh, thank you, God!” I keep hearing of the love and faith you have for the Master Jesus, which brims over to other believers. And I keep praying that this faith we hold in common keeps showing up in the good things we do, and that people recognize Christ in all of it. Friend, you have no idea how good your love makes me feel, doubly so when I see your hospitality to fellow believers." Philemon 1:4-7
And another thing, surfing.
I don't know why, but surfing is just such an amazing opportunity for all of this to grow and blossom. I sound like some hippie but it's true. (I'm watching Step Into Liquid right now, ha.)

ps. Take a minute or an hour or a day to spend time with people you love; it's worth sacrificing something (like folding laundry or making an extra dollar.)
Invest in what you want to be rich with in ten years...
