In all challenges we face and all trials we fight through and all testing we work hard at, God is there. God is there backing us, being our support, and on our side when the waves of life come rolling through.
Not all seasons are considered "pretty" or "fun" or "easy" but, winter comes before spring and spring comes before summer and summer before fall. We appreciate the spring season with warmth and flowers and sunshine so much more after the long months of snow and wind and scarves and chapped lips. God is there through every season of our lives. After an incredibly stormy season of life, it really feels like such a blessing when God stands in the way of the storm and, for a moment, there is peace.
My advice for those harder seasons: prayer.
Really.
I honestly cannot understand why or how me talking to the Creator of the Universe does anything of significance, but it does. Against all odds, it does. And it seems like the only thing I really have. No matter the country, the place, the people, the situation, the time, the motivation, the surroundings, or the downpour we, the adopted Children of God, can always talk to our Father God. That astounds me to my utmost core. What amazes me and brings me to my knees is the fact that He listens and knows our hearts and longs for us to talk to Him and He rejoices in that and answers those prayers and calms those worries and stills our hearts and wipes our tears all while holding the world in His hands... He cares for me. He cares for you.
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. He longs for your heart, worship, and adoration. He wants to scoop you up into His arms and love you unconditionally. Unconditional love from the God of the Universe.
So my fellow adopted brothers and sisters, shake off those tangles of the world and remember, "If God is for us who can be against us?" Romans 8:31
