A Whirlwind

Wow wow wow. I seriously cannot believe how stinking fast these past six months have flown by (literally and figuratively). Let's just do a little The Endless Summer flashback-style-camera-fadeout type of thing and remember my first day coming to Hawaii... I was scared, nervous, didn't know what to expect, cried a lot, my hair was still shaved, Kara and Susan and baby Iris picked me up, Nadine, Allie, Becca (who I am on outreach with) and I went to Ala Moana, there was prayer and healing, amazing worship and God's love. I cannot believe that that was way back in September and now it's February! Dang. These last few days in the Philippines, have been lovely and great with a little touch of sad. We're blessed to stay in the Shogun hotel in Manila (it has a rooftop pool) and have been doing some galivanting in the seriously giant Mall of Asia! The sad part is just the fact that it's ending and things will change; such is life. I love love loved being apart of this family of people; they are truly my family. I can't wait to regroup with the two other teams and cry tears of joy and hug and share stories and go to the beach and just all be together. This next week will be even more of a whirlwind so I had better be prepared! Tomorrow we fly from Manila to Honolulu; craziness. So many memories and so many people and so much love. I am one thankful girl. God bless.

Love,
Rachael
