Standard? Yes.

Women watch this and hold this standard.
Men watch this and be this standard.

¡Hola

Last minute and spur of the moment type of things are the type of things that I live for. I try and live in those 5-minute increments like John Wesley. Just barely floating above ground in order to be easily blown by the Spirit of God. Now that is life and that is living.

So, this weekend I got the (last minute) opportunity to journey on down to Mexico. Wow. God has instilled this huge desire in me to go to the nations and share His love to the people and what's even cooler is that He gives me the opportunities to live it out. Like this weekend's trip; I didn't even know if I would be able to go because my passport decided to do some traveling of its own and head up to Washington. It was 4:30 pm on Friday and my passport arrived in the mail with just enough time to throw some stuff into my backpack, grab a sleeping bag, and drive on down to the church by 5:00 pm and to make way down to Mexico! God is always faithful; even if you don't see it until the last possible half-hour.

While down there, I got the huge pleasure of working at the orphanage! Man, I fall in love with kids way to fast. We painted the girls' room and bathroom (and each other), ate some lunch (muy delicioso), crafted and created our little hearts out, did some extreme swinging, finished painting, played more (obviously), then said our goodbyes. I love them. I cannot wait to go back.

A few days before leaving I read this...

"I always wonder why birds choose to stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth. Then I ask myself the same question." -C.S. Lewis

...then I ask myself the same question.
