Double the Trouble

If I had to describe Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in one word it would be overwhelming. I lived Tuesday the 21st, twice. Weird. Three hours were spent in the Manila airport, ten hours were on a flight from Manila to Honolulu, two-ish hours were getting through customs and baggage claim and meeting up with the two other teams, another few hours was coming onto base and seeing the tons of new people and finding our suitcases, then there was some (attempted) processing, calling of the parents and friends, some quality time with my dove Allie (thanks for reading by the way)and a 40 minute long decision of what hair dye to buy, and of course a nice walk to Waikiki and a not so nice bus ride/getting lost/sitting on a bus stop/waiting for a ride to get back home to base. I am having a fairly difficult time being back in America... reverse culture shock. It's really hard and I haven't slept for a long while and so that makes things worse and I keep wanting to cry, but I haven't. Man, coming home from outreach is way harder than I imagined. Thank the Lord for debrief and learning how to re-enter society. It feels like I'm watching everything happen through a tv screen and it doesn't feel like real-life at all. Hopefully it will get better. Pray for me please.
