Outlets (The Non-Mall Type)

What is an "outlet"?
IDK. (Ew, 21st century slang.)
What is my outlet?
Do I need one?
I think I'm fine doing what I'm doing... I think... Maybe? IDK. (Seriously, what has our generation come to? Does anyone remember the problems of Newspeak from George Orwell's novel 1984?)
I will not know what I will become if I have no outlet for my thoughts, emotions, desires, passions, dreams, goals, frustrations, and energy.
We all need an outlet.
An expression of who we are.
Some dance.
Some run.
Some work on their cars.
Some draw.
Some cook.
Some jump out of airplanes.
Some surf.
Some drive cars too fast.
Some blast music and attempt to sing along.
Some sew.
Some paint.
Some volunteer.
Some read about adventures.
Some take adventures.
Some write about adventures.
Some take pictures.
Some swim.
Some fix bikes.
Some learn French.
Some play cards with friends.
Some make new friends.
Some keep old friends.
Some do something...
...but some do nothing.
Don't do nothing.
You need an expression of you.
If you live going to work, home from work, eat, sleep over and over and over, you will be drained.
YOU (what makes you YOU) will be drained.
Find your expression of you.
Find your outlet of stress.
Be more rooted in Him.
Be more rooted with who you are and what you believe and why you believe it.
Be filled so you can pour out.
Find something that you're passionate about.
Not all of us can afford to live off of our passions... (Do you think my passion is bagging groceries? No.) ...but I am at least remembering now that maybe the reason I am feeling "stuck" or whatever is because I am having no outlet for myself.
Then I remember, "Oh ya! I love to write! Maybe no one will read this but, hey! I at least can get it off my chest and take what I feel internally and turn it into something external that I can see.
For some reason that feels really good."
It makes things not such a big deal.
It makes things easier to process.
It makes me enjoy all those little gifts He gives throughout the day.
Enjoy the moments we are given.
Turn days into memories or paintings or gardens or mountain bikes.
Just do something that makes you feel and remember who you really are and who God made you to be.
He made you for greatness.
Don't settle for less.
Be His outlet.
